"Each story collected and community act of generosity or activism becomes a line in the sketch for the light and sound installation. The public is literally drawing the art piece as they engage with their personal history and ponder future social activism. The complexity of the drawing inspires me to collect more stories and encourage people to consider helping a neighbor in need."
–Harbor Voices Founder, Stephanie Terelak Benenson
SUGGEST A VENUE FOR STORYTELLING
Each Harbor Voices installation begins with community dialogue and storytelling. We ask questions like, “Is there a hero in your family history? Why is this person important?”
If you work or volunteer in the public realm and would like to host a Harbor Voices storytelling session, please email us at email@example.com. Everyone has a meaningful story to share. All stories shared feed future public art installations in our near your city or town.
